While the body of my work consists of colour as a testament to my love of creation, I hope to provoke thought into the essential nature of duality and paradoxical insight into heavier-weighted topics often misunderstood or suppressed in the depths of the self.
Within this space, I drop my mind and open myself to the essence/spirit of the subjects who often appear spontaneously in dreams or visions that erupt from the subconscious, making the unconscious conscious again.
I believe the spontaneity of how I’ve adapted and moulded my art in this way goes hand in hand with depth psychology, as I found a way, albeit totally by accident, to access the language of the psyche through painting.
Art does not fit easily into words. However, for me, it feels like a great, wise teacher. It’s been unpredictable, unorthodox, unique, holistic, and authentic, yet uncomfortably unfitting at times. It’s simply boundless, a guru to my soul.
It brings me great joy to share this journey with you.
